Things & Ideas
I’m always working on some project or another, and most weeks I talk about what I’m working on Wednesdays as part of Tami’s WIP Wednesday project. You can see other WIP Wednesdays … here.
THING(s) have been moving and IDEAS(!) have been brewing lately. (Which is great, because there was a bit of stuckifyedness there for a bit.)
Yarn has been balled.
Swatches have been knit.
An old idea has been picked back up again.
Words have been written.
(Don’t worry, there are k2togs that go into that chart. I “sketch” by charting out the pattern with yarn overs, and adding the decreases in later, this chart isn’t quite done yet.)
And charted.
Shawls have been blocked.
Patterns sent to the tech editor.
Well damn.

Coming Up Next
I’m always working on some project or another, and most weeks I talk about what I’m working on Wednesday evenings as part of Tami’s WIP Wednesday project. You can see other WIP Wednesdays … here.
There are currently three ideas fighting for the spot of next to be cast on.
These two skeins of Tosh Merino Light want to become a large sweeping shawl which incorporates two alternating stitches of some kind.
Three skeins of Plucky Knitter here. Two “Sticky Toffee” in Traveler, and one “Chlorophyll” in Primo Finger. Wanting to be a garter stitch square shawl with a slit from the center to the hem (same shape as Spider Silk) with a striping sequence and strategically placed stitch motifs throughout.
The final idea is one skein of Tosh Merino light that I want to make into a shallow triangular shawl, maybe with eyelet rows every now and then. Keeping the overall design simple.
Of course there are tons of other skeins also shouting “cast me on, cast me on.” These just happen to be the loudest. Have an opinion? Let me know!

12 Shawls in 2012 Progress
In my last post I talked about finishing one final shawl before the end of the year, and I mentioned having no idea of how many shawls I’ve completed this year. And since I don’t know how many I’ve completed, I can’t know how close I am to my goal of completing 12 this year, (I finished 11 last year). So it’d probably be a good idea to count them, huh.

2. Eirwen
3. Kora
Well, that’s sobering. But here’s the (kind of) embarrassing part:
I have 4 shawls waiting to be blocked. And 2 shawls that I just haven’t talked about. Yea…
I guess I’ll be frantically blocking shawls over the next couple weeks.
