editing, reading, writing – thankfully not all on the same topic

Each Wednesday, I post a snapshot of the projects I’m working on, and where my brain is at.

Editing, reading, and writing – this is all that it feels like my week has consisted of. Thankfully it hasn’t all been on the same topic, or I think my brain might have gotten totally fried.

I’m editing Shawl Geometry Book Three, and now letting it rest before diving into the next (I hesitate to say final, but quite possibly final) round of edits.

Reading and rereading a pile of new, and old books.

Writing daily outfit posts over on Who Wears Who. Today is Day 8 of my Fall 10×10 Wardrobe Challenge, and I’ve been daily-blogging the whole challenge, so lots of writing about clothing, and looks, and outfits each day. If you haven’t been following the challenge, come catch up here.

the book is back, and the boxes are gone

Each Wednesday, I post a snapshot of the projects I’m working on, and where my brain is at.

Got the edits on Shawl Geometry Book 3 back from my editor at the end of last week, and am plugging away making changes (primarily adding and removing commas). Tedious, but necessary.

But the boxes filling my hallway are mostly gone! (And I only shoved a couple into the closet to make it happen!) I spent the weekend emptying the remaining boxes from my move, so now I just have a couple bags to empty out, and piles of things to find spaces for.

And over on Who Wears Who, it’s time for the Fall 10×10 Wardrobe Challenge! I had a ton of fun with the 10×10 wardrobe challenge this summer, and so I knew I wanted to participate when the fall challenge came around. I started my Fall 10×10 Wardrobe Challenge on Monday, so you can catch up on Day 1 here, Day 2 here, and Day 3 over on Who Wears Who later today after I’ve decided what to wear.

moving still sucks

Each Wednesday, I post a snapshot of the projects I’m working on, and where my brain is at.

There’s something surreal about putting everything you own in boxes, moving those boxes a couple blocks away, and then taking everything out of boxes again. The objects are the same, the neighborhood is basically the same, but everything is in a slightly different place.

And what’s fairly simple on paper (things into boxes, things out of boxes), takes an incredible amount of time and energy.

At this point, many of the boxes have been emptied, and now it’s all about finding spaces for everything.

Shawl Geometry Book 3 should be back from the proof editors end of this week, which means it (fingers crossed) very, very close to done.
