all in all a quite week of knitting

Each Wednesday, I post a snapshot of the projects I’m working on, and where my brain is at.

Pretty quiet week this week.

I spent a couple evenings working away on my Fairchild sweater by Bristol Ivy. I’ve split for the armholes, and am now working on the increases in the main body of the sweater. This pattern is fantastic mindless knitting, because it’s stockinette in the round with occasional increases, but there are some interest construction details to look forward to.

Shawl Geometry Book Three edits continue. They’re progressing, but agonizingly slowly.

Halloween costume, book edits, and a new sweater

Who Wears Who Halloween 2017 Everyday Goth 7

Fall has arrived, and I cast on for a new sweater! I got a sweater knitting itch a couple nights ago, pulled out a bag of Classic Elite’s Inca Alpaca and cast on for Bristol Ivy’s Fairchild sweater pattern.

This might be a bit of a knitting adventure, since my stitch gauge is spot on, but my row gauge is pretty far off. Or it might turn out perfectly, since I like my sweaters on the longer side anyway. Either way, I’m loving having a relaxed knitting project on the needles. It’s making a really nice break between doing the final proof of the third Shawl Geometry book.

Yesterday was Halloween, and over on Who Wears Who I pulled together a last minute low-key Halloween look, find out more about the look here.

WhoWearsWho Fall 10x10 Wrap Up

PUMPKINS! This means it officially feels like fall now. Which is probably good because we’re almost at the end of October, and fall had to come around at some point or another.

I wrapped up my Fall 10×10 Wardrobe Challenge over on Who Wears Who last week (which is another reason I’m glad fall has finally landed in NYC). The 10×10 wardrobe challenge is a low pressure capsule wardrobe challenge, and I had a ton of fun participating again this season. There’s a wrap up/review here on Who Wears Who, including my favorite and least favorite looks plus links to all the looks throughout the challenge.

Still plugging away on Shawl Geometry Three (editing is pretty boring to talk about).
