moving still sucks
Each Wednesday, I post a snapshot of the projects I’m working on, and where my brain is at.
There’s something surreal about putting everything you own in boxes, moving those boxes a couple blocks away, and then taking everything out of boxes again. The objects are the same, the neighborhood is basically the same, but everything is in a slightly different place.
And what’s fairly simple on paper (things into boxes, things out of boxes), takes an incredible amount of time and energy.
At this point, many of the boxes have been emptied, and now it’s all about finding spaces for everything.
Shawl Geometry Book 3 should be back from the proof editors end of this week, which means it (fingers crossed) very, very close to done.

I know I say it every time I move, but moving absolutely sucks. It’s stressful, irritating, time consuming, and is also apparently fascinating for the cat. Because every time I start packing another box she comes out to give me a look of “what are you doing human?”
But that is what most of my last week has been, and what the next week will be as well.
Other than packing boxes, I got Shawl Geometry Book 3 off to the proof editor who will (thankfully) get it back to me after I’ve moved, so I don’t have to really worry about it again until then.
And though it seems really boring to type out, that’s pretty much all I’ve been working on.
Short and sweet this week: Shawl Geometry 3 is still with the tech editor, and I’m getting ready to move again

Short and sweet this week. Shawl Geometry 3 is still with the tech editor. I’m been playing around here and there with some handspun yarn and crochet swatches. I’m working on various back end & admin things for releasing the third updated Shawl Geometry Book. And also getting ready to move at the end of the month.
So my week (and I expect the next couple weeks) will be all about running around doing lots of little things, but we shall see.
