I think my sweater is starting to feel a little neglected.

Each Wednesday, I take stock of the projects I’m working on.

My giant granny square is growing – ever so slowly – but still growing. Row by ever longer row. I might have said this before, but I’m at the point where every single round seems never ending.

That feeling of never ending rows, combined with very limited crafting time this week, means I managed to crochet 1.5 rounds…

This project mostly lives at my desk, and I’ve been squeezing in a few stitches here and there throughout the week. Up until this point, that method has made for slow, consistent, and visible progress.

But I think that this shawl/sweater has officially reached the point of needing focused attention, to really grow. Otherwise, I really will be working on this project forever.

Anyway! There’s always this coming week, and cooler weather on the horizon (fingers crossed).

And one more thing!
Penny over at Little Acorn Creations interviewed me about the self-made wardrobe project, my shawl geometry series, and generally creativity & craft. You can read the interview here –  it was an absolute delight answering Penny’s questions.

  1. i had fun interviewing you! i’m always excited to see what your next project will be.

I have several granny square projects that made me frustrated because they weren’t growing, then I looked at my time log and realized I’d not sat more than 10 minutes to work on them in a week. 😉
